When you have tasks or a project that you’ve been putting off or ones that feel daunting, set the timer for a short time - 10 or 15 minutes to work. After getting over the initial hump, you’ll gain momentum and keep working.
It’s great for those pacing with chronic illness like fatigue, post-exertional malaise. PEM can be mitigated by activity management (pacing). I use it both while working and for taking breaks.
