This is been one of the best conveniences added to my home. Because currently, I still suffer from chronic fatigue, doing most tasks that a normal person wouldn't think twice about takes more effort.

For example, if I'm having a painting session, I need to be mindful of how long I paint and I need to take frequent breaks. Smart light bulbs are helpful, especially having the ability to voice command the lights to go off so that I can go lay down, without having switch off all of the lights. This is needed because I'm in a studio, my bed is a few feet from my painting station, so I can't just go into a darkened bedroom.

I take breaks between 20 and 60 minutes and when I get up, I need to turn all the lights back on. One of the lights I have to tucked in the corner behind a table, making it not so easy to reach. And if you are unfamiliar, for artists, lighting is one of the more difficult conditions to get right in your environment. I have three of those 3-headed floor lamps and have programmed a setting called “painting lights”. I simply say “Siri, painting lights” and all the lights turn on at full brightness and at a neutral tint, instead of a warm, orange glow or a cool, blue hue.

Most of the lights in my home use these light bulbs, including the kitchen. I have a setting named “evening lights”, where most light bulbs turn off, and some turn on at a low, warm light. For highly sensitive people, it’s nice to not to have to fiddle with the settings but be able to immediately set the mood to relax and wind down.
